Our Ministries

Here at City Church Canton, we volunteer for our community and are always looking for opportunities to reach out to those in need. As a result, we’ve created different ministries which anyone can participate in. If you’re interested in any of the following ministries, reach out to the contact below each group.

Backpacks and Bros

Ministry leader: Zachary Catell

By collectively acquiring backpacks, we fill them with necessities and goods for the homeless to provide them with as much sustenance as possible.

The 242

Leaders: Anthony Stoll, Emily Downin, Creed and Dessie Hensley

We’re a group of friends from around the neighborhood who have come together for a common purpose: restoration.

We want to see broken things be made new! We gather on Sunday Nights for a time of community, and work together to help bring restoration throughout our neighborhood throughout the week.

Restoration – We want to see things that are broken made new. Be it a fence, a room that needs painting, or a weedy yard, we’ll be the people that are happy to come lend a helping hand.

Community -We want to know our neighbors. It is sad that we can live in close proximity to so many other people, and not even know their names. New relationships are something we desire for our neighborhood.

Sundays at 6:30pm

Life on Tap

Ministry leader: Pastor Jake Shar

Life on Tap is a bar ministry devoted to meeting people where they are and where they naturally congregate, having meaningful interactions and conversations with them, and hoping that those interactions/conversations will help not only them, but us share in the love of Christ for that community.

Children’s Ministry

Ministry Leader: Holly Grove

At City, we love our children, and take seriously our responsibility as a congregation to help them grow into mature believers in Christ.

We offer a nursery and Children’s church during our Sunday Service. Children are also welcome to remain in the worship space for the entirety of the service, if you would prefer to worship as a family.

We use The Gospel Project as our primary curriculum. This curriculum teaches through the entire bible, and each section’s gospel implications, every three years.

We offer a nursery for infants and toddlers, a preschool through kindergarten class, and a first through fifth grade class.Content goes here
